This gadget aims to help with Australia's water problems and the world environmental problems by subtly encouraging you to have shorter showers.
It's a small (4cm dia) opaque pebble that you leave on the floor of the shower to monitor how long you shower for and aims to decrease your shower by 17 seconds each time. Don't ask us why this magic number but it means you don't really notice a shorter shower day to day and over a bit of time it adds up!
As you shower the pebble changes colour to indicate the various stages of your shower. When you first turn on the water the pebble lights up in green. Half way through your 17 second shorter shower the pebble will change to orange and then will change to red when you should turn off the water and end your shower.
The best thing, it helps with water usage and the environment (less coal/gas to heat that water) without being a pain in the a55. A simple, unobtrusive way to make you aware of your shower time.
